As the Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacists and patients by ensuring adherence to specialty pharmacy operational processes and programs designed to optimize health outcomes. This role involves effective communication with patients, providers, and internal teams, as well as processing prescription orders, resolving inquiries, and maintaining compliance with established procedures. You will work with moderate independence, interpreting policies and prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the highest level of accuracy and service. Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities Contact physicians for prescription clarification and process prescription orders in the system. Take inbound calls from patients, providers, and pharmacies to address inquiries or resolve issues. Support pharmacists and patients through coordination of specialty pharmacy programs and medication management initiatives. Ensure adherence to all specialty Rx operational processes and compliance standards. Follow standard procedures while exercising discretion in prioritizing and completing daily assignments. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes. Pharmacy Technician Requirements Active state Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence. National Certification through PTCB or ExCPT (must be submitted with resume). Eligible to work with Medicare and Medicaid programs. Prior experience in a specialty pharmacy, retail, or clinical pharmacy environment preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks.
